Rickie Fowler

If you love the sport of golf, you know who Rickie Fowler is. He plays for Puma, he’s really cute, has long swoopy hair, and wears loud mouth colors with big, flat bill hats. He is hands down, my most adored golfer. He was named Rookie of the year in 2010, and he just keeps getting better. So, what I want to know, is if anyone else likes him too. What I found out was – I am a fan of Rickie Fowler. I think he has the potential to become a top 5 player in the world. I like that he has his own unique style and doesn’t copy what everyone else wears. I can’t say I like the bright orange he insists on wearing on Sundays though . . There is no way he should have won ROY in 2010. That should have gone to Rory McIlroy (who actually won a tournament and contended in two majors). Rickie is still a great talent though. The most impressive thing about Rickie is that he can perform well under pressure. If you didn’t see his amazing comeback in the Ryder Cup singles, check it out:

Tiger Woods

When he began his first round in the 135th British Open at Royal Liverpool Tiger Woods looked like he had a plan. Starting with a one-shot advantage and with 14 men within five shots of his lead, Woods semt to be taking them down one by one. Just a month after he missed the first mayor cut of his professional carrer at the U. S Open, Woods won his fourth victory worldwide this yr and third on the PGA Tour earned him $1. 33 million and pushed him to the top of the money list.

He became the first player to win the British Open back to back. Woods became the first player to win this event back-to-back since Tom Watson in 1982-83. He also tied Walter Hagen, who won a British Open on these same storied links in 1924, for second place on the all-time list of major winners. At the age of 30, he’s seven away from matching the record 18 won by Jack Nicklaus.

Woods showed us a hint of his softer side after his victory in the 2005 Masters. He had choked up during the victory ceremony when he mentioned that Earl Woods, that for the first time, had been too weak to attend. But he quickly recovered that day.

This triumph marked the fist time that he couldn’t hug his beloved “Pops” or at least phone home after a major victory. Woods raised his arms, bellowed, “Yes,” and punched the air. Seconds later, standing in the middle of the green, he buried his head in the shoulder of his caddie, Steve Williams, and began sobbing uncontrollably. It is very understandable knowing that whole bunch of things piled up, dealing with a challenging golf course, holding off a gaggle of prominent players trying to catch him and ultimately prevailing in a major championship all paled in comparison with the sadness he felt knowing he would not be able to tell his father all about it, but we all now he would have been proud, very proud.

Bill Haas

I’m in a golf pool where you take a golfer all week. . . BUT you can only take them ONCE throughout the entire SEASON. . i already took people like Vijay, Casey, Toms, Rollins, Kelly, Z. Johnson, J. Ogilvie who of the below should I take Tim Clark Carl Pettersson Brandt Snedeker Ken Duke Jeev Milkha Singh Briny Baird Chris DiMarc• Billy Mayfair Kevin Na Brian Davis Ryan Palmer Davis Love III Ben Crane Lucas Glover Brian Gay Kevin Sutherland Dean Wilson Steve Marino Eric Axley Peter Lonard Tom Pernice, Jr Jason Gore Tim Herron Vaughn Taylor Bo Van Pelt Corey Pavin Bill Haas Ryan Moore Charley Hoffman Mark Wilson Nick Watney John Senden. From what I can tell… A few suggestions: Chris DiMarco- if I were him, I’d be trying to do something to get a captain’s pick for the Ryder Cup. He does well in that event. Ken Duke- played well last week; usually pretty solid Brandt Snedeker-won last year. . See DiMarco. Davis Love- won in 2006 and 1992 (I think).

In the final round of the 2011 TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola, Bill Haas hits his third shot out of the water greenside on the par-4 17th hole, spins it to 2 feet and taps to save par.

Kevin Durrant

Kobe is getting up there in age. Wade and lebron play on the same team. Carmelo and Amare play on the same team. If not Kevin Durrant Who do you see leading the league in ppg or comming close to Kevin Durrant. After speaking to others on the web, I found the answer. It’s possible, but I don’t think he’ll be able to do it for 5 consecutive seasons. I think the league lead will alternate between Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, and Monta Ellis. Durant’s total PPG may drop a bit as Westbrook continues to improve on offense, and I think Ellis and Rose’s numbers will go up as they develop a more consistent outside shot. I also think Lebron, Melo and Wade will continue to challenge Durant as the league leader until their teams surround them with more talent. Even though Miami and NY each have two superstars on their team who have to share the scoring duties, they still take a majority of their teams shots. The scoring isn’t as balanced as it is on teams like LA and Boston who have more quality players and deeper benches.
